Customs officers at Tashkent International Airport detained a foreign passenger arriving from Bangkok, according to Kun.uz. The headline says the person is Thai, while the body only says "foreign citizen". About 6.3 kg of dried marijuana, confirmed by lab analysis, was in 12 packages in luggage.

A criminal case was opened and the suspect remains in custody. Investigators are checking for links to wider trafficking networks. No charges or verdict are reported, and the person is not named.

Why it matters: An airport arrest leads to custody and a criminal case. This is a larger quantity than a recreational amount.
