A parcel sent from Thailand to the Kyiv region was flagged in the international postal zone of Kyiv Customs by a detection dog, according to ThePublic. The declaration described the contents as dried fruit. Inside were 19 packages labelled as dried longan, and a rapid test indicated a cannabis-containing plant substance. The total gross weight was 3.71 kg.

Customs alerted law enforcement and the SBU took part in follow-up operations. The people involved in the delivery were detained and notified of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 305 of the Criminal Code. The report gives no names or nationalities.

Why it matters: The parcel was labelled as food, and the case rests on a rapid test. The report does not say who was detained or what happened next.
