Investigators are looking for accomplices. No charge or sentence is stated.

By Donte West · Oct 15, 2026

A gendarmerie patrol in Kpalimé detained one suspect around 17 to 18 November 2025, according to Togonews carried by AllAfrica. About 1.5 tonnes of cannabis was found packaged at his home, and early information suggests it was destined for neighbouring countries.

The cannabis was seized. Investigators are working to identify accomplices and the wider network. No charge or sentence is stated and the suspect is not named.

Why it matters: This is a very large seizure, not a small-time case. It is the best Togo item that could be found.
