A police drug unit in Parañaque City, Metro Manila, ran a buy-bust operation at a home on August 23, 2026, the Daily Tribune reported.
Officers recovered about 250 grams of suspected high-grade marijuana, known as kush, valued by police at P375,000. Two unemployed local residents, both 24, were arrested. Complaints for sale and possession under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act were reported as being prepared for the city prosecutor.
Police identified the two only by street aliases, so we do not use them here. The report does not state their nationality, and no court finding has been reported. Both are accused, not convicted.
Why it matters: Police describe the operation as a buy-bust, in which officers arrange a purchase and then make the arrest.
