A woman arrived at Oslo Gardermoen airport on a flight from Bangkok in early 2025, and customs officers found 41.7 kg of cannabis in her luggage. The report describes Ireland as her home country, and says an Irish report claimed she was meant to continue on there.

She reportedly said the bags were handed to her in Thailand and she did not know what was in them. She is held in custody under strict conditions, with no visits or contact. Norwegian authorities are checking for links to an international trafficking network.

She is not named. No court outcome is given.

Why it matters: She says someone else handed her the bags, which is the account she gave. Norwegian authorities are investigating links to a trafficking network.
