Two men, aged 46 and 47, allegedly ran a modern indoor cannabis grow near Hranice in the Přerov area. Police say they completed four growing cycles since June 2024 and sold the marijuana.
A police intervention unit stopped the latest harvest. About 600 plants had been harvested and about 300 more were flowering. Searches of five locations found dried cannabis, plants and 200,000 Czech crowns in cash.
Both men were charged with unlawful production and handling of narcotics, and the older man was taken into custody. They are not named, and no verdict has been reported.
Why it matters: The report shows a charge for production, not only possession, and custody for one of the two men before any trial.
